#What Branchmore is
Branchmore is an analytics product for engineers who use AI coding agents: Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. A small CLI called bmor reads the session logs your agent already writes to disk and uploads them, so you can see what your agents cost, what they did, and where they went wrong.
It has two parts:
- The
bmorCLI runs on your machine. It hooks into each agent's session start and end, strips and redacts the log locally, and ships what's left in the background. - The web app at app.branchmore.com is where you browse transcripts, costs, rate limits, and tool-call history.
To install the bmor CLI and connect your agents, follow the steps in Installation.
#Why we started Branchmore
Branchmore aims to improve productivity for BOTH agents and their people. We believe it's important to recognize that people operate and are responsible for agents. I started up Branchmore based on the challenges I saw engineers face trying to make the most of AI while I was Director of Engineering at Permiso Security.
Some engineers were trying to burn more tokens; others were trying to burn fewer. I was seeing AI hallucinate while tooling and context failed to keep up with change. And I was seeing agents take risky actions that went unnoticed.
Then I looked across the engineering community and saw the same patterns on other teams. I also saw token and subscription trackers being used for tokenmaxxing. So much effort and money was being spent that engineers didn't have time to pay attention to much beyond cost.
I built Branchmore in the spirit of the continuous improvement and continuous learning practices that have served engineers well, adapted to the mechanics of loop engineering and meta harnesses to continuously improve agents.
I bring 16+ years of engineering experience in scaling secure infrastructure, optimizing cloud costs (FinOps), and analyzing logs and metrics to find evil (ITDR) and waste (observability). And I am building Branchmore with the help of Anes Sprecic, a talented senior engineer who contracts through Elixirator. Anes brings 7+ years of experience building communication software at Bicom, and enterprise dealership platforms.
